Ty Newydd, meaning `new house` is a 19th century detached house which was once used as a court house and old jail. We are situated on the border of the Snowdonia National Park. Tremadog is a small village one mile from Porthmadog, with a post office, supermarket, three public houses and a restaurant. |

You can take the local bus service or your car to the many coastal towns with sandy beaches or sailing and water sports facilities. |

There are also many fine castles and gardens open to the public as well as a sea zoo, woollen mills, potteries, hydro electric power station, slate caverns and a copper mine. There is something here for everyone. |
